Where It All Began
Patrick van der Donk and his wife Ivette are the dynamic duo husband and wife team who run this amazing enterprise. Ivette is a master sommelier and signature cocktail whiz not to mention a talented people person while chef Patrick honed his skills at an early age in Holland where he studied culinary arts in Eindhoven and Utrecht. He later practiced under many famous chefs throughout the Netherlands, Australia, and Mexico, but once he landed on Aruba’s shores he never looked back.
“I immediately fell in love with this island,” he says, “And wanted to make it my home.” He also met the love of his life Ivette on Aruba – also in the hospitality business and they married and have since had triplets (sons). Patrick says, “We are already training them to take over the business”.
